RUSH AEPi

Think you might be interested in rushing?

Rush is the perfect opportunity for you to get your questions answered about the Fraternity, the pledge process, etc, as well as an excellent chance to meet new people and have an awesome time! We plan Rush events every semester to meet prospective pledges that may be interested in becoming ΑΕΠ brothers.

Rush takes place every semester.  During Rush weeks, all the fraternities on campus plan various events for the purpose of meeting new people, and recruiting potential new members. Rush events are an opportunity for you to hang out with us and to get to know our Brothers.

There is no obligation or commitment.  Even if you don't think you're going to be interested in pledging anywhere, check out the Rush events! You can come by and meet people, grab some free food, and hang out - if you are offered a bid and decide Greek Life is not right for you, that's cool too.

After Rush ends, we identify men who have expressed an interest in our fraternity that we think will be a good fit in our Brotherhood and offer them bids. A "bid" is a formal invitation to pledge a fraternity and to become a Brother.  If you are offered a bid, you are being offered a spot in our next Pledge Class.  Should you chose to accept it, you will become a Pledge, and soon a Brother of ΑΕΠ

Why Join A Fraternity?

We know that joining a fraternity is a big decision, and there are many students who come to college and have pre-conceived notions of what Greek Life is like, and have already decided that they definitely want to go Greek, or that they definitely do not.  Before making this decision, you should take some time to visit the various chapters and see what each has to offer.  Greek Life offers many great opportunities.

When you join a fraternity, you become part of a great organization that is founded on strong social and moral values.  Being in a fraternity helps students learn responsibilities and develop important life skills through holding committee positions, managing budgets, and being jointly responsible for Chapter functions and property.  You'll also meet many new people, and create some of the strongest bonds of friendship you will ever have in your life.

In addition, after graduation, you will be part of a large alumni network.  These connections can be very useful in the business world.

Some interesting statistics about Fraternities:

  • 71% of those listed in "Who's Who in America " belong to a fraternity.

  • Of the nation's 50 largest corporations, 43 are headed by fraternity men.

  • 85% of the Fortune 500 executives belong to a fraternity.

  • 40 of 47 U.S. Supreme Court Justices since 1910 were fraternity men.

  • 76% of all Congressmen and Senators belong to a fraternity.

  • Every U.S. President and Vice President, except two in each office, born since the first social fraternity was founded in 1825 has been members of a fraternity.

  • 2% of the male population in America is fraternity men.

  • Statistics show that fraternity members have a higher rate of graduation from college than do their non-member counterparts.

Why Choose ΑΕΠ?

Alpha Epsilon Pi, the Jewish Fraternity of North America, was founded to provide opportunities for a Jewish man seeking the best possible college and fraternity experience. We have maintained the integrity of our purpose by strengthening our ties to the Jewish community and serving as a link between high school and career.  We maintain over 120 groups in the United States and we are the largest fraternity in Canada.

Alpha Epsilon Pi develops leadership for the future of the North American Jewish community. The Jewish leaders of tomorrow are in our chapters today.  Our partner agencies assist us with our Jewish mission.  Over the past five years, over 500 men have gone to Israel through their membership in Alpha Epsilon Pi.  We work with the local Hillel and with other community resources to help provide this positive Jewish experience.

Alpha Epsilon Pi is the only fraternity in the US that is nationally Jewish by charter.  However, we are not a religious organization.  While many of our brothers are Jewish, not all are, and men of all faiths are welcomed.

AEΠ is a great place to meet other Jewish students, and people with similar backgrounds and values.  We are very active in the local Jewish community, and can offer many great connections and opportunities.

Fall Rush events are open to all Sophomore, Junior and Senior undergraduate men. Spring Rush is open to all undergraduate men. University policy does not allow freshmen to Rush until their spring semester.
